Going Fishing

To all who left comments on "Past, Present, Future"...thank you for your support and love. I'm humbled beyond words.

As you've noticed, I'm still doing the blog, and I'll probably keep it up since it isn't much work and its how my friends and kids keep up with me (unlike Facebook etc. I don't have to turn down "friends" and have the temptation to check out everyone else's "books".) Its all the other internet stuff that sucks the hours up.

I called my dad this weekend and told him I'm coming up next Monday with my oldest son and we're going fishing. (The lakes in Northern Arizona are a zoo on the weekends, we'll be heading up when everyone is coming home and we'll have the lake to ourselves.) He was happy. I'll be posting pictures.

The wifey arrived home last night and I could tell she was a bit shocked that the house was clean. Yay, men!

Catch a big one for me!

Oh, and your "cleaning up the house" bit reminded me of Foxworthy's comments about women slaving to keep the house up and never looking for recognition, but the men will call the newspaper to announce that they "dumped the ashtray."

OK, I know that was a rough paraphrase, but you get the point...

Enjoy the fishing and enjoy your father.

Have fun fishing. Looking forward to seeing the 'big catch.'

YAY WOMEN who have trained their men to take care of the house and clean up after themselves.

I love Clint's comment!

May the Lord bless your time with your father and your son; bless your lines with fish; and bless you to continue to be a successful "fisher of men" for His kingdom! While I will miss those activities you're planning on curtailing, I certainly understand and support your reasons for doing so!

I just finally read "past, present, future..." I gotta comment on an old post about Pulamalu (I'm sure Clifton can correct my spelling). You were talking about Celebrity and Orthodoxy, and all I could think was You, Steve, are an Orthodox Celebrity... and now you want to step out of the limelight, and I commend you for it. Godspeed, God Bless, and I, as always will continue to read your Blog, and pray for you and your family.

I'm glad you're keeping up blogging!

I think I'm on a similar quest to change from being so "mission" minded to being more realistically family relationship minded. There's also an art to learning how to receive.
