I heard a great story last night about a lady who faithful served Scrapple on virtually every feast day for around 30 years before being told that Scrapple is nothing more than pork scraps and trimmings. She had no idea, and was horrified to discover that all those years she thought she was fasting from meat...she wuddn't...

Or the lady who was complimented by a bishop on her excellent prosphora.

"How do you do it?"

"Simple. First I take some Crisco...."

ATM: I just looked at the commercial. Why would a Greek commercial show monks in Western, Franciscan-style garb? Weird.

justjamey, I'd never heard of Scrapple before, but looking it up, it has quite a similar appearance to livermush. That is not nice to do to someone on the very first week of Lent... :-(
