My son Jonah giggled when he saw this video and then he said "nonoonoooononon, no...noonooo"and then ran away...he pretty much mirrored my sentiments.

Ever since Arius, heretics have had a need to do good song and dance numbers.

Wherever did you find this? What religious group are these guys associated with? Not to put too fine a point on it, but this is just plain goofy!

Also, I agree with "The Hermit" -- except that this is not a particularly good song! :-)

Hi Father, I'm not sure exactly what group they are with. In the comments box on some of their other videos they are some kind of "apostolic" group. I thought they were Jehovah's Witnesses for a while. All I can tell from their videos for sure is that they are "Oneness" folks (modalists) who reject the Trinity, think women should keep silent in Church and that God ordained men to have beards.

What's with the red jumpsuits? Looks like what Santa wears around the house?

Lol! This is classic. Actually, I think they're pretty good musically. That guy can play the guitar and the quality of the sound is excellent.

What chance do you think we can convince our new Metropolitan to add this to the hymnology of the Church?

Sophocles, I love ZZ Top and blues. When we were Episcopalian we had a blues band called "Sacramental Whine" and did fundraisers. People LOVED it. We tried doing the same thing at our Antiochian parish one year and got blank stares. I'd love to hear some hymnography or Orthodox CCM done like this... (not ALL of it, but it could be one tone. :)
