Well, of course it's about my life and stuff I think about. Just like a quadzillionbazillion other bloggers. I'm obsessed with God. I love beauty, enjoy absurdity, dance with despair, seek silence, and think everyone is goofy. Here's my world and what I think of it....

Former aging RC strikes back!!
Oh dear. So true, so very true.
(Said in no small part because I am a culprit.)

Seems like even Origen has more friends (still working on my petition to the EP to rehabilitate my homie).
You could make a second graph related to how many people quote Blessed Fr. Seraphim Rose on the subject and those who quote whoever that other guy that really opposes him is.
Forgive me.
I mention Augustine a fair amount. What juices the hit is the R word. You know who I mean, yeah, admit. It ain't the bishop of Hippo it's Romandies. Betcha someone's got a automated serach running right this minute and soon, oh so very soon, you will oodles of flaming hits!
I speak, sadly, from recent experience. ;)
Fr. Gregory, I almost H/T'd your blog for the inspiration for the Orthograph but I didn't want to feed the flames. :) ...and yes, Job, you are correct (perhaps even super-correct) that the common denominator between Blessed Seraphim and Blessed Romanides and ummmm... "bless their hearts" ... is Blessed Augustine.
Blessed Augustine is the only thing keeping me from becoming Orthodox. I love the Orthodox Church in every way – but with one hangup. My Western anthropology is cemented in original sin & guilt, dead in trespasses and sins as it were. I simply can't get over this threshold - yet! :)
oruaseht, The OC believes in sin, death and guilt... it all depends on the order in which you put sin, guilt and death. :)
Let me add, that we believe in sin, death and guilt but we have not dogmatized the order.
My faith tradition (Lutheranism) chooses Romans 5:12 to set the "order" for sin/death/guilt - contrasted with 1 Corinthians 15:56 which shows a different view (I heard about this in some mostly sane guy's podcast once and it blew my mind...) ;)
Pay no attention to that guy behind the microphone! :)
So it's the Orthodox version of Godwin's Law? LOL! :) So true!
LOL! Perfect!... "reductio ad augustinium" (or ad seraphim or ad romanidum, reader's choice).
