Well, of course it's about my life and stuff I think about. Just like a quadzillionbazillion other bloggers. I'm obsessed with God. I love beauty, enjoy absurdity, dance with despair, seek silence, and think everyone is goofy. Here's my world and what I think of it....

Steve, somewhat related, and though you're probably not interested, there's a new "Five Views" book out on the historical Jesus. From the product description page on Amazon: "...On the one end Robert M. Price lucidly maintains that the probability of Jesus' existence has reached the "vanishing point," and on the other Darrell Bock ably argues that while critical method yields only a "gist" of Jesus, it takes us in the direction of the Gospel portraits. In between there are numerous avenues to explore, questions to be asked and "assured results" to be weighed. And John Dominic Crossan, Luke Timothy Johnson and James D. G. Dunn probe these issues with formidable knowledge and honed insight, filling out a further range of options...." Thanks for your efforts.
Hi Jason, I pretty much did the critical method and Jesus Seminar stuff when I was in seminary. Personally I'm pretty much done with it though I know it is still an issue for a lot of people. It would be an act of sheer self discipline for me to try to put together any kind of material on the topic and I'm sure there's other people who have a passion for dissecting it and are much smarter than I am. At my age, I'm picking my battles a little more carefully. :)
Hello Steve, Do underestimate the value of Ochlophobists, Logosmoi or Pithless pundits on us 50-somethings that are fed up with racing rats and are even spotted at times in Staples picking up ink for our printers and sporting the latest in G-dub fashion. Some of us would be very happy to ask you about Jesus. Your Friend, Tom S. Norwalk, CT
That should be "don't" underestimate-sorry, TS
I'm so glad there's a more credible place to go to learn about Jesus. I was starting to wonder about you.
Doesn't it say somewhere that the geeks shall inherit the Earth?
