Only problem with this one is the title, "Haiti and the Theologians," because Pat is so eminently NOT a theologian. He gives even bad theologians a bad name. You got it right with "nutjob" in the graph, though.

In case anyone hasn't seen it yet, Fr. Jonathan has been providing the antidote to such nutjob theorizing on his blog, Second Terrace. http://janotec.typepad.com/terrace/

Nutjobs? Like His Beatimoron Patriarchaic KIRILL of Mosbovine ...

"Patriarch Blames Crime and Drugs for Haitian Quake ... Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill said crime, drugs and corruption caused last week's massive earthquake that killed tens of thousands of people in Haiti. ... said the Haitian people bore responsibility for the calamity because they had turned away from God ..."

To call him a great Orthodox nutjob is way too kind. Let's see ... an earthquake, child dies in rubble, tell mom her baby died because she deserved the agony. Kinda like how you and your homophobic cadre condemn gays.

It's so clean and easy being a Pharisee, eh? See you in this Sunday's Gospel ...

*yikes*, If Bishop Kirill said that, his statement is as much an embarrassment to the Orthodox Church as Pat Robertson's is to Evangelicals. I have no Pharisaic loyalties to defend idiocy whether it comes from the mouth of an Orthodox Bishop, a protestant, or an atheist.
